Changes to classes and fees for 2025

Hello all.  2025 will bring an opportunity to revise class and fee structures.  In 2025 I am looking at providing a simpler fee structure and greater flexibility for you and myself in training availability and taking leave from training:

  • Classes will be initially be available (at the nominated times you are familiar with on Mondays and Saturdays) from January to December with a 4 week break over Christmas as of 2025.

  • I will be asking everyone to commit to a 12 month direct debit subscription with fees calculated effective the 1st of January through 31 December.

    • Full membership (1 full session per week)
$55 Membership Upfront payment + $884 per year over 52, 26 or 12 payment (equiv. $17 per week)

    • Half membership (1 half session per week or upon application. examples: tai chi beginners (30 min session)).
$55 Membership Upfront payment + $572 per year over 52, 26 or 12 payment (equiv. $11 per week)

    • Special membership
$55 Membership Upfront payment + payment negotiated for special circumstances not (this will be accepted purely at my discretion in lieu of another membership)

  • A reduced membership fee of $55 will apply as of the 1st of January 2025 whilst I phase in the subscription model.

  • Students will be permitted to pause their payments for up to 4 weeks worth of payments per year to allow for leave from training.

  • I/The Instructor will cancel up to the equivalent of 8 weeks of classes (i.e. this may not be Mondays and Saturdays adjacent to each other) per year for instructor leave, this includes and is not additional to Easter and public holidays, except for public holidays and leave over the Christmas break.

  • I will provide at least 4 weeks notice of cancellation of classes for the purpose of my leave.

  • I am trying to ensure that upon taking 4 weeks leave from training and pausing their subscription, students will pay approximately the same as they currently do.

All assumptions and estimates are based on the current fee and class structure. Fees and rates are expected to rise slightly due to an increase in facility rent and other overheads that I have been advised of.

Direct debits will be over 52 weekly payments, 26 fortnightly payment, or 12 monthly payments.  Dates of the first direct debit can be nominated by the client, however the date must occur within the first payment cycle beginning on the 1st January.  All direct debits will be subject to the following fees determined by the service provider: as of the 11 November 2024. Direct debit fees will be on-charged to you as follows:

Set up fee: Paid by PVMA

Per debit: $1.21 + (1.87% MSF for Credit Cards)

Dishonour: $6.82

Reminders: $0.42

Reminders: Paid by PVMA

These fees may be subject to change by the service provider.

Thanks everyone

Just want to thank Sempai Jason, Sempai Ian, and Ruwan san for taking classes today whilst I looked after my family who are unwell. I have been told the classes went well and conducted professionally. The team stepping up allowed me to prepare Sharon and Chelsea for a week of isolation, buy some groceries and prepare some meals for the week ahead.

Food ahead include:

  • Chicken, leak, and sweet potato risotto

  • Beef and Guiness pie

  • Chicken noodle soup

  • Chickpea Salad

  • Baked chicken and peaches.

I would also like to thank all students and parents for supporting them, helping them make the days training a productive one.

Thank you sincerely everyone
