Karate Lessons for Kids

Childhood and adolescence present growing children with many new challenges, from learning how to identify feelings and act upon them to learning about their bodies and physical abilities. We seek to teach children new ways to control their emotions and practice self-defence and physical restraint when appropriate with our karate lessons for kids.

By using martial arts as a form of expression and education, we attempt to promote the following:

  • Physical health. Childhood obesity is widely seen as one of the biggest problems facing young ones today. By keeping your children busy and active with our kids’ karate program, we can provide an outlet for all their energy while helping to keep their growing bodies strong.

  • Mental health. Our program includes tai chi, focusing on using gentle martial art movements as a meditation. The main principles of our kids’ tai chi are to have children slow down, take note of bodily and emotional feelings, and work through these feelings artistically.

  • Positive morality. It can be challenging for children to know the difference between right and wrong, especially regarding new experiences. Our martial arts programs attempt to have young ones think before they act and make judgements without having emotions or physical urges influence their decision-making processes.

What Makes Our Karate Lessons for Kids Different?

Our karate beginner program is designed to balance your children's mental and physical needs in a way that teaches them confidence, confront challenges, and to defend themselves. By learning new skills that your kids can apply to everyday situations in the comfort of a safe and structured environment, they can more easily adapt to forthcoming and inevitable changes in their lives.

When joining our dojo, you can expect to form part of a community that shares the collective goals of attaining total self-control and inner peace.
